Im 15.Right well a couple of years ago i had my first period it lasted for around 2 days but was never heavy or anything on the night.I'm sure it was a period and i hadnt just cut myself because first came the brown discharge and then it turned red and stuff. The thing is, i havent had a period since and i think its a bit odd and i feel like a bit of an outkast. The doctor said its ok and i have plenty of time but my mum just told me my 13 year old cousin started, my mum is a twin and i think our family are late developers. Any thoughts about this? Thanks and no humiliating or disgusting answers.

  1. It can take a year or two for the body to fully regulate when it comes to having a period when a girl is starting out with periods.

I would recommend that you let your mom know that you are still concerned about your periods and that you would like to get another opinion about your periods.

Sometimes getting another opinion can help with giving extra reassurance.
