  1. the same thing happened to me about 3-4 months ago. it got really bad because I was doing the school play and i was rehearsing daily from 3-8pm, so my voice got really tired. even after the show ended, my cough was still there. so, to help it go away, i took nighttime airborne and gargled with warm salt water (you have to do that a couple of times for it to start working). get plenty of sleep.  also, try to rest your voice and not talk for a while and go to the doctor to see if it's like larigintis or strep or something. hope this helps =]

  2. Drink Orange Juice :)

  3. Don't talk at least for a weak and then at the end of the week test your vocals.

    Good-Luck!

  4. Slippery Elm Tea or just plain black tea with lemon and honey.

  5. Heal before singing or else you'll risk hurting your voice.  Dry up your phlegm with an expectorant.  Start aerobics as soon as you feel strong enough, to get your breathing back.

  6. Go see a doctor, get better. Your voice will come back, just don't overuse it while it is getting better.

  7. My friend sings a lot, and she says that drinking tea with honey helps her voice. She doesn't like tea, but once she drinks it and waits awhile, she sounds a lot better.

    Good luck. ^_^

  8. your voice is a unique instrument - treat it as you would a lover. Care for it, cherish it and at times allow it to rest and recuperate; away from ordinary stresses - feed it with nectar or honey - and then make the demands that for you; it performs to the utmost of it's ability! - and then? treat it as you would a lover. Care for it, cherish it and at times allow it to rest and recuperate away from ordinary stresses.......!
