Wife not happy about anniversary gift?!?

It's our 3rd anniversary and I got my wife a vacuum cleaner because she needs a hint to do mroe around the house .. she's all upset and has been crying all day.. was it a bad gift?

That wasn't a gift, it was an insult.  You should have picked mundane day for your hint and you devalued your relationship in her eyes.

Anniversary, holidays, birthdays,

You buy her things she doesn't need. Like trinkets and jewelry.

Maybe tell her it is a gag gift. And take her out to eat and then buy her a ring. NOW. Don't waste time asking here.  do it NOW, right now. This may cost you more than money.

Maybe she will give you some work gloves and tell you to get a better paying job because you don't make enough.

or give you a dictionary because she feels your not very intelligent.

or give you a set of papers saying goodbye turkey. And then you can clean it all yourself.

hahahahahah are you serious??? one word-DIAMONDS!!! There is a reason they are a girls best friend, and not vacuums. If you want her to clean more, try a different approach, not giving a vacuum cleaner for a gift, unless its a housewarming party. you are gonna have to make up big time or have h**l to pay. Hope you have a jeweler and florist on speed dial...

That's awful. Your wife wants something to feel good about herself, not to do more work for her. God forbid you actually get up and maybe clean something yourself. Awfully bad gift. Think next time.
