Question:

Wifi PDA and Hotspots?

So I thought of getting the HTC touch dual, or, HTC TyTn.

Dual: 3G

TyTn: Wifi (and $300 more expensive)

So is it true that if I choose TyTn with Wifi, I can surf for free in Singapore hotspots? Considering 3G's charges of average 7dollars per megabyte

  1. WiFi doesn't eat up precious carrier air time so, yes, it's free.

    Hope that helps.

  2. gud question - i been hesitatin over it quite a while maself ..

but i decided 2 go ahead n buy a HTC Touch 2 weeks ago.

Apparently, wifi is free as long as u can connect to a network/hotspot - jus like with ur laptop, u search 4 a hotspot n if its free u'll connect after clickin on it. Now im not 2 sure bout singapore's hotspot policies... so dats up 2 u 2 look up. I have yet 2 try it in Egypt dis summer.

PeekPocket here is a WiFi finder (scanner).. here's the zip file (dono styll if dis works in singapore)
