Wigan Warrior’s Eamon O’Carroll pens three-year deal with Hull FC – Rugby League news
Eamon O’Carroll of Wigan Warriors sealed a three-year deal with Hull FC on Tuesday, September 6, 2011.
Carroll is very excited about his stint with the Hulls. He acknowledged it as a huge honour for him to be able to represent Hulls.
While speaking about the latest happenings, Carroll said, “To be joining a club like Hull FC is massive. They are a huge club with a great history and a great fan base and I am very privileged to be joining them. I am looking forward to getting over there
and getting into pre-season and it is a move that really excites me so I can't wait to get started.”
With this latest recruit, the count of fresh inductions for 2012 season of Hulls has gone up to five. Carroll missed out on the Wigan’s Challenge Cup final showdown’s line-up. He was previously not taking part in the league toppers’ fixture because of his
sternum injury, which was a major blow to the Irish prop forward’s future in the world of rugby.
Recently, he stepped back on-field for the Warriors under Michael Maguire as a coach, after a very long blackout of 16 months but his hard work paid off for his return to the world of rugby.
While speaking about his future association, Carroll added, “After my injuries I know this may raise a few eyebrows, but I'm really looking forward to getting to Hull and proving to the fans that I'm worthy of wearing that Hull shirt. I'm fit and healthy
now, my injury problems are behind me.”
He further shared that his induction by Hulls might have raised many questions, pertaining to his ability to perform as well as he once was able to. He will take up this opportunity by the Hulls with the hopes of proving to everyone around that he still
has the knack of brilliant on-field performances, which was not believed by the Warriors as he sat outside the Challenge Cup’s final.
His confidence in himself to return to his commendable form will act as a huge contributing factor for his future success with Hulls.
