However, Martinez thinks that his side’s impressive performance against the top clubs is an indication that they can take on any team in the Premier League.
"We are capable of getting results against anyone," Martinez told reporters.
"We proved that against Manchester United but also against Chelsea and Liverpool. Those games allowed us to break a mental barrier that we had in the past.”
Currently, Wigan are just a point clear of the relegation zone, with five more games to play in the season.

The former Celtic player scored a breathtaking goal against Manchester United on Wednesday, to help his side leapfrog Bolton Wanderers into the 17th place.
"We worked really hard with him physically to reach the level we needed, then he had to find a partnership and position with our players.”
Martinez admitted that the player was finding it difficult early on in the club, as the situation and the requirements at Celtic were totally different than what they are at Wigan.
Maloney has capped 215 appearances for Celtic over a period of four years, before he opted to move to Wigan in August, 2011.
