Wii U commercial hits YouTube, countdown beings for North American release
The countdown for Wii U has begun in America as Nintendo releases a brand new commercial of the next-generation console on its YouTube channel.
The commercial features a number of gamers enjoying the Wii U experience, with plenty of colours and energetic music adding its own appeal to the experience that is about to be made available to the consumers in about two weeks.
The internet has been overflowing with Wii U-related news over the last few months, with some journalists and analysts bent on convincing the reader that the latest system by Nintendo is designed to fail, whereas others have no doubt that just likes its
successor Wii, the upcoming console is bound to become a huge success in the market, a claim that is well-supported by the impressive pre-order sales figures revealed in recent reports.
The latest offering by Nintendo will come in two models, a basic edition and a deluxe edition.
The 8GB basic Wii U model will be available for sale at a price of $300, whereas the 32GB deluxe Wii U version will cost $350 and will have a free copy of Nintendo Land bundled with it.
Nintendo announced last month that its next-generation console will be launching with 23 titles, which will include some really big titles such as Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed III and Activision’s Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
With all the third-party support that Wii U has been enjoying in recent months, Nintendo has taken a strategic decision to delay some of its major titles to 2013 with the intended motivation of extended the appeal of the console and thus maintaining impressive
sales figures.
One of the most prolific franchises that the company has reserved for 2013 is Zelda, a brand that has been contributing heavily to the success of the gaming industry giant since its early days.
Even though Nintendo was unable to stir excitement among gamers during the revelation of Wii U and some of its launch titles at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) earlier this year in Los Angeles, the titles revealed to be headed to the upcoming console
has triggered just enough enthusiasm among gamers to make the company really confident about the success of the console during the holiday season and even after that.
