Question:

Wii Virtual Console - SD Card to Console?

Well my Wii had a little memory error, so I sent it in to NInetndo to get it fixed. Once it returned, it had none of my Virtual Console games on it, so I simply went into my SD card data, and tried to copy them there. It turns out that they cannot be copied to my console, even though they are on my card. Can anyone help me on this, or do I have to buy them again to play them?

  1. just go to the wii shop channel, and it will have all the games that u previously downloaded and it will have it displayed as downloadable(free) hope this helps. oh and its impossible to save the actual game to anythin

  2. sign in to the shop cjannel and try and download them again- although the file that allwos you to download the game again should decrypt the sd card file

if you cant download them, contact me at stonesam92@hotmail.com and i will explain how to get wiiware/vc games for free so u can get back the games u rightfully own

also i can explain to u how to get other wiiware/vc games for free if u want

  3. Sign in to Wii Shop with the same login that you used to buy them the first time.  It will know that you've bought them already and allow you to download them again for no additional charge.

The "copy to SD" puts an encryption on it so it can only be copied back to the same Wii it was copied from.  Since your Wii got a system reboot (or maybe it's a different Wii all together), it's no longer the same Wii that copied the data to the card.

This is the only way to get them back.
