Wii ...do I need to buy a hidef TV?

Do i need to buy a plasma Hi def tv when I buy a Wii for my kids ( ages 11,9, 7)? I just have a regular Sanyo TV, not a flat screen.

  1. it doesn't matter just make sure they wear the wrist strap when theyre playing or they could let go of the remote and hurt the tv


  2. shouldnt matter.  My friends have a Wii, and they just have a regular TV.

  3. No it doesn't matter.. I don't think the Wii is High Definition anyway but if it is, the worst situation is that the picture quality would'nt be HD because it's connected through a non HD TV

  4. No because the Wii cant output in high definition there would be no need to buy a high def tv. it will look just fine on a standard tv. like they said make sure you wear the wrist strap. i almost broke my 60 inch tv that way. im so glad it missed :)
