Wii/ gamecube controllers?

To play a gamecube game using my wii, will i need a gamecube controller or can i use the wii classic controller?

You need a Gamecube controller. You also need a Gamecube memory card, as Gamecube games cannot be saved to an SD card or to the Wii's internal memory.

When playing a gamecube game through your Wii you do need a gamecube controller. Since gamecube games were made before the Wii was out, they are older games, and need to have the same controller. You do need a gamecube controller to play gamecube games on the wii. You can't use a Wii classic controller with a gamecube game.
