Wii help how to erase data without losing VC games

Question

I am going to sell my wii and I do not want to have any personal data on it. is there a way to do a full sweep of all game data personal data and all of that other junk without losing my channels and my games I downloaded on the wii store

well, you cannot lose any games you downloaded from the wii store. the reason because is that once you buy a game you can erase it and then download it again for free. that is the nintendo solution for not having enough storage space on the wii.

You can save all of your files and channels to an sd card (any kind- I use the one from my phone) and then reformat the system memory, which will wipe bout everything.

The only problem is that the VC games are encrypted to only work on your wii number. So you can put  them back on the wii, but not on  anybody else's wii.
