Wikipedia says there is no drinking age in the Dominican Republic, is that true?

well i went earlier this year and in the hotels you have to be 18 however when we went on a trip where they give us a sample of mamjuana (great drink over there) they give it to almost everyone. obviously apart from young children, young teens got it.

most likely in their normal lives anyone can drink at any age as it is alot more 'relaxed' over there. beautiful country!

maybe because it IS the dominican rebuplic.... look on different sites.
