  1. Gasoline is at a fair price.

In America especially, the price of a gallon of unleaded is still affordable. It is not the gas which is expensive - it's peoples' consumption.

Oil levels will reach their peak shortly (anywhere from one to 10 years) and then it is likely that the majority of people will not be able to afford oil at all.

  2. No, gas prices will continue to climb for oh so many reasons

    * Gas is being consumed by India China and other nations whose economic growth is such that they will need much more gas than America and Europe have ever needed

    * Gas is produced by OPEC nations that are not interested in fairness to their customers, only in how much money they can make by manipulating the market

    * There are limits to how much oil can be mined, and as we run out of it (many major oil fields have already gone dry), it gets more expensive to suck out what's left.

    * Some state legislatures have banned oil well drilling off their shores because tourist dollars are more important to them than the economic well being of the nation

    * This is not a complete list of reasons

  3. unlikely =(

If it gets worse (which it probably will) I'll be on the bus =(

  4. Not unless people stop driving gas-guzzling cars for hours a day, or we are able to drill in places like ANWR.  As long as we're dependent on foreign oil, OPEC can monitor our supplies and keep them low, so demand and therefore price are higher.

  5. No, the Congress and Senate have proposed another 40 cents increase to fund more Government spending.  As long as we will not build more refineries and not drill our own oil, the price will continue to skyrocket.  Many like to blame the Oil Companies, but the TRUTH is, the Government makes 3-4x more in taxes on a gallon of gas than the oil companies profit on each gallon.  When the Dems win the White House and the 40 cents per gallon tax hits, the oil companies will continue to get the blame ... and the stupid lemmings will believe them.

  6. You can live a perfectly comfortable lifestyle with much less gas. It's called efficiency.

  7. no because bush could live high on the hog bush has stock on gas  call bush tell him to get off his butt get things done

  8. Yes, once Americans stop wasting it.  Once we have a good public transit system and drive smaller, more efficient cars, gas prices will go down.

  9. Easy answer, NO!

  10. Sport, if the price of gasoline is preventing you from living a comfortable lifestyle, your problems are bigger than you think. And just so you know, housing price increases have outpaced fuel price increases for years, but no one cries about it. In fact, people expect the price of homes to rise, and if you are the seller, the more the better.
