Question:

Wild Baby Rabbit. Where do I let it go?

I was moving a car and there was a wild baby rabbit next to the wheel. I didn't see it until I backed the car out. So I picked it up because it was just out in the open. I know that it's against the law to keep them, and that is the last thing that I want to do because I can't take care of it properly. And it's not fair to the bunny to be free to roam one second and then held captive the next. We have a lot of rabbit's in my subdivision, so where it came from is what I'm trying to figure out. I thought that I should just stay outside and wait for an adult rabbit, and then let lit loose. Any suggestions as to where to let it go?

  1. You should take it to a shelter, ask them, I would say near a river, but go and ask them, they know more, who knows, maybe it's ill and they have to keep it.

    Hope all goes well

  2. if the baby rabbit is the size of a tennis ball or bigger and its eyes are open, it is on its own and no longer needs the help of its mother.  you can just let it go in the same area as you found it.  thank you for helping the baby rabbit.

  3. if you can pick it up it is to yung to be away from its mother...it needs help..take it to a resque or a wild life park

  4. Put it back where you found it. In the future, just don't touch a wild animal!  Shoo it away! You MAY have given this animal a death sentence by handling it.

  5. No where near Elmer Fudd.
