Wild Sauce set to stand first in Kennedy Handicap
Wild Sauce is all set to show a big run in a bid to win the Lionweld Kennedy Handicap that will take place at Catterick racecourse on Friday, June 8. The Class 5 contest over the distance of 5 furlongs will commence at 3:10 (GMT).
For the prize cheque worth £2,264, the Bryan Smart-trained bay filly will run against 9 worthy competitors such as Oldjoesaid, Diamond Blue, Black Annis Bower, Jack Smudge, Arch Walker, Kylesku, Come On Dave, Kyzer Chief and Chosen One.
Wild Sauce has been at the peak of form since the very beginning of her career. After getting a third position in each of her first two races, the three-year-old novice filly grabbed a 5th and a 3rd position in a row during January
2012.
The brilliant sprinter marvellously broke her maiden on February 17. Being a 5-2 favourite, she ran confidently against half a dozen rivals and crossed the boundary strap ahead of all under Tom Eaves who has been her regular rider since the very beginning.
The talented daughter of Exceed And Excel out of Salsa Brava elegantly bagged a couple of consecutive runner-up ranks during the last month.
At the moment, the Richard Page-owned filly is carrying immense winning momentum that will help her thrive convincingly in the coming contest. Her chances to thrive are as high as 90 percent.
Among Wild Sauce’s competitors, only Chosen One has potential to impede her in the Handicap. The Ruth Carr-trained gelding beautifully accomplished top spot in his second last outing on May 25, 2012. He moved on to finish 8th in his last start
on May 31.
As a whole, the gifted horse has won 7 of his total 52 starts. He can easily give tough time to Wild Sauce. Thus, there is likely to be a neck-to-neck clash between these two strong runners.
However, Diamond Blue is too anticipated to do well today. The Richard Whitaker-trained filly finished 5th against 8 rivals in her last outing on June 1, 2012.
By and large, the competition will be fairly rip-roaring and awe-inspiring. Let us enjoy the live action at Catterick. Good luck to all the runners.
