first of all here is the best link for raising a wild baby rabbit ive found so far........

ive been following all these instructions but still one problem...i cant stimulate the bunny to urinate or produce f***s...he had a thin coat of fur when i brought him in but belly still a little naked so im assuming hes still within the newborn-one week range...but close to a week by now...my main concern is that even though ive fed him several times hes not "using the bathroom" at all....the chart on this link says that when it reaches a week of age stimulation is not necessary...also ive seen him l*****g himself on his butt...what does this mean....ive been using pedialyte and goats milk..i have him in a plastic container with a piece of bed comforter and a bunch of cottonballs plus a handful of grass and his mothers fur that i brought home from the "nest" with a heating pad underneath the container...the number 1 answerer for PETS (Chetco) sent me some great information and i really want to succeed at doing this...i named him "Bugs" and i want him to live about three weeks so i can release him back to the ranch i found him at....any comments, suggestions, or advice would be greatly appreciated...im very new at this....p.s. (i already know about wildlife rehabbers im working on that too)

  1. i've raised several wild rabbits and turned them loose in the wild.  watch the heating pas close because they can get to hot. to help them urinate or produce f***s take a q-tip or a piece of cotton dip in a little warm water and just rub up and down on its belly. it should go mine always went. also with another piece of cotton dip it in the water and rub its eyes and ears like a mom rabbit would groom it. feed it every two to three hours. mine always did fine. good luck.they are so much fun to raise. oh cat milk is better to use its easier for them to digest. i use it on rabbits ,squirrels, anything that needs milk when born.

  2. You will probably find your best answers in the pet section.

My experience with trying to raise wild newborn rabbits: They won't live!

You're better off taking it to a place that specializes in taking care of newborn rabbits. I regret not doing it. We had 2 baby rabbits and I did everything I read to do and they both ended up dying and the ones we had were older than the one you have.. :(
