Wild rabbits in my yard- how to move them...?

I have a nest of rabbits in my yard. We found them when we were digging to landscape the yard. How can I move them? There are at least 7 babies and I have seen the mother several times, so I know they're not orphaned. We have to continue digging as we have half the yard ripped up and it has turned into a pit of mud and dirt.

  1. They will move onto another habitat if the yard was that much destroyed. If they come back at a later date find the plants they are eating on and put common crushed red pepper on them. As the rabbits eat these plants the pepper gets on their fur which causes an irritation to their skin. Basically bio-chemical warfare but safe.

  2. irish spring soap put it on the ground or in a mesh bag and hang it up they dont like the smell

  3. Let a dog come over and pee everywhere, a few times. The scent should somewhat deter them. We have a rabbit in our back lot and I planted lots of lavender along the property lines, which I heard helps, but if not, it at least looks and smells good. Good luck. I sprayed ours with the hose a couple times and never saw him again.

  4. You could try to Snare them.
