Wild thought: do u think Sidney Ponson is a big game pitcher?

Question

Remeber his Yankees season debut he faced the Mets in game 2 of a double header. (The 1st game yanks allowed 14 runs) Sidney pitched 5 or 6 shutout innings.

He pitched 7 innings of shutout ball against the angels who had Mark Texiera (spell check) . And that was after petite struggled mightily the previous game.

He had a rough outing against the red sox but we beat them the last 2 times so it wasnt that big of a game.

I know itz a crazy thought but would u consider Sidney Ponson a big game pitcher?

It IS Crazy to think Ponson is a Big Game Pitcher.

If he was that good he would not be a Journey Man.

It's not like this guy doesn't know how to get out big league hitters, hes been around the AL for a long time and he knows how to get outs. I wouldn't consider him a big game pitcher.

granted his outing aganist the angels was very good but he is too inconsitant. iam a diehard yankee fan but i have no faith in him when he is on the mound

Well, he has mostly been hype but I think he can be if he gets his head out of his butt.

Definitely not. the only reason he wins games is because he gets 7 or 8 runs supported every win.

Nah I dont think he is a big game pitcher...he's just not consistent.  For some reason he pitches well when he's supposed to get rocked.
