  1. a chav, wow.

i think its the way there handbag earrings and polyester twinkle in the daylight.

  2. crow? pigeon?

  3. a peroxide blonde, found in all parts of Essex ;-)

  4. Sparrow.

  5. down my way it's feudal pigeon and herring gull poor old sparrow are on the decline more to do with to many houses and flats being built in an area that is lacking  more and more open-spaces hedgerow and trees being destroyed

  6. I am not sure whether the numbers have changed significantly over the last few years, but in 2004/5 the most common bird in the UK was the Wood Pigeon (plenty of them where I live).

    Followed by:

    2: Chaffinch

    3: Blackbird

    4: Wren

    5: Robin

    6: Carrion Crow

    7: Blue t*t

    8: Great t*t

    9: Dunnock

    10: Starling

I supposed the numbers vary depending on whereabouts in the country you are, but the numbers of Sparrows and Starlings have dropped dramatically over the last decade or so.

  7. The most common in my area are Starlings & Magpies

It would depend entirely on the regional studies over time to establish the most common in Britain i think =)

I have helped to increase the common sparrow & house sparrow population a little by providing regular foods.

  8. It depends where you are, round here its Magpies, there are literally thousands of them, but I would guess nationwide it must be Starlings, the flocks you see at twilight are spectacular!
