  2. When will people ever stop leaving their homework until the last minute??

  3. 1.Nagarjunasagar - Snsailam Sanctuary

The largest of India's Tiger Reserves, the Nagarjunasagar -Snsailam Sanctuary (3568 sq. km.), lies in the state of Andhra Pradesh. The terrain is rugged and winding gorges slice through the Mallamalai hills.

    2.Bandipur & Nagarhole National Park

In Karnataka, the two attractive wildlife parks of Nagarhole and Bandipur, though separate entities, are part of a larger contiguous wildlife reserve that includes the Mudumafai Sanctuary in Tamil Nadu and the Waynad Reserve in Kerala. Both the parks are easily accessible from Mysore.

    3.Ranganthittu Bird Sanctuary

When you take a holiday to Ranganthittu, you're treated to some glorious sights. Yes, the Sanctuary here is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. Just glance around and you'll find a host of surprises. Crocodiles basking under the sun, others running free, flocks of birds gathered on tiny islands

    4. 12 biosphere reserves in India

5.Nepal embarked upon modern era of wildlife conservation with the enactment of National Parks and Wildlife Conservation Act in 1973.

6.Chipko Movement, a site about activists fighting the destruction of forests in India.

    7. Pesticide Action Network (Asia), including information on sustainable agriculture, pesticides, safe food, women in agriculture, transnational corporations.

i think thats all i could find for the best!!

    good luck!

(i am from india,  so i dont know much about the rest of asia)

  4. Apart from academics, I think the question is a non-starter. There are only projects and efforts, and hyped figures mask reality.

Conservation faces stiffest challenge from developement. Habitat destruction is the main cause of loss of species, and populist governance is impotent in dealing with issues that impact conservation.

While Project Tiger has had reasonable success, it is the only sponsored organized initiative with properly articulated guidelines and implementation. Other conservation initiatives have been largely private and limited for want of funding and recognition.

But after all, you need stuff for the project. Ample touts on the internet. Happy surfing!!
