The area i'm thinking of is Peoria, Illinois. The thought is due to global warming which was causing us to get alot of rain and flooding due to the heavy rains. So will the effects of heavy rain carry into the winter and create alot of snow and sleet. Mixed with ice and slush. I'm thinking in the general area of Peoria, Illinois.

  1. I think it's impossible to say Cody.  It's easy to blame the bad weather lately on global warming, but I don't think that global warming is real.  The weather from year to year is different in the winter..hopefully you'll have a good winter.  Last year here was extrememly cold with way too much snow.

  2. I think they will.

But, even if it is dryer than normal it will be because of GW.

Also if it is colder than normal that will be because of GW.

You know it is getting cooler.

  3. Due to a recent lack of solar activity, I too will predict this coming winter will be much colder than average for Peoria, Illinois.  Whether or not it'll be wet as well depends upon the short-term weather systems in place at the time.  Given a 50-50 chance at being right by stating "yes" or "no", I'll guess there'll be a continuation of this past winter's weather (only more of it).
