Will 1979 impala spindles fit a 1968 impala.? i need to convert to disc brakes.?

  1. I don't know how available they are or if they are expensive but 68 impala had a factory disc brake option. I had one in high school. It had the 4 piston vette brakes on the front. Not many out there but were some. You might check and see about reseaching that. It might be easier in the long run........Hope this helps.............UJN


  2. thats 11 years apart, the factory probably changed things by then, but you could try.

  3. I doubt it. Your best bet is to go to Master Power Brakes and have them make a kit for you. Then you will have the right master cylinder, spindles, calipers, and rotors.

  4. you may end up changing the A-frames along w/them, ck the ball joints to see if they will work on the later mod.spindels,i changed my 65 chevelle from drum to disk and used 78 camaro parts they swapped out perfect,i think i would ck out 72 chv.p/u

    spindels they should do the trick.to answer your question, i don't think so..you can also try cad.,pontiac,buik,and chv.cars from 72 they have all the same geometry
