  1. sure but give it a trial run first

  2. i have 3 100 lb dogs, a 40 lber, a 12 lber, and a 25 lb puppy in the house and they all get along fine, though supervised in case the play gets too rough.

if you're adopting them (GOOD FOR YOU!!) it all depends on how socialized they are.

  3.   If you're thinking of adopting them all that's a lot to handle. First, it takes some time to bond with dogs. You need to deal with each one as an individual; some may be shy, some outgoing.  The dogs may find it a bit difficult to cope with a new person in their lives and four new companions.

You're going to need to think about the money you'll be spending for the food and vet bills for 5 dogs.  Remember all of those dogs will need yearly shots, worming, heartworm preventive and something for fleas and ticks.  I just recently spent $138.00 on a couple of months worth of meds.  And my Golden needed 450.00 worth of dental work. (She was a puppy mill breeder and never had any vet care).

Are these dogs all spayed or neutered?  Hopefully they are as it's unkind to bring more puppies into the world when so many need homes already.  If they're not that's more $$.

Are they all housebroken?  You don't mention this but housebreaking takes time and patience and could be a real chore.

I would start with two before I tried putting 5 strange dogs together.  It will be stressful for the dogs and you too.  Imagine telling 5 strange people they need to live with each other!

You should have no problem with the Goldy as they are not aggressive dogs.  The Australian Terriers can be aggressive though.

Many dogs will get along unless you put two dominant breeds or dominant personalities together.  That can be a real problem.  Example: my Great Pyrenees does not tolerate large male dogs but he has no problems with females.

Suppose they don't get along then what happens if there is a fight.  I had this happen to me some time ago and the dogs were clamped on each others necks.  Not a pretty thing to deal with.

It's nice you want to adopt dogs but think of them, and yourself as well, before taking on such a huge responsibility.

  4. Heya, They should do especially if you all introduce them in your house at once. Can you find out if they have previously lived with other dogs? If not don't worry.

Now give them all time. First just let them all in the house together and give them some food each so they all are calm. If fights start separate them for a bit and try again.

I'm sure they will get on fine.

  5. I'm sure any group of dogs will get along together. Check and see if they are good dogs. By that I mean, they don't feel the need to protect their food because you give them plenty, they don't mind sharing items or food, they all get attention, and things like that. If they are young, that helps a lot. Even if they aren't, you can always train dogs to get along. They should be fine.
