  1. Yes/No/Maybe...

You need to provide a bit more info on what your W reg pug actually is.

To check wheel fitment you need to check the following parameters.

    1. essential. check the stud pattern. A 206 probably has a 4x108 stud pattern, ie 4 wheel studs on a 108mm PCD (pitch circle diameter, this means that the centres of the bolt holes are located around a circle 108 mm in diameter. Often this may be stamped on a wheel, but if not, you can measure from the centre of one stud to the centre of the one opposite (if there are an even number of studs). The stud pattern on the wheel must match the stud pattern on your car.

    2. Diameter. You can change the diameter of the rim you have on your car but you will also need to change the profile of the tyre used so that the overall diameter of the wheel stays similar, A tyre shop will be able to help you with this. If you get a wheel from a different model, the tyre may not be right, for example, a 206 may have a 65 profile tyre on a 14" rim, and while the wheel will fit a 205, the tyre will rub over bumps unless you change it to a 60 profile.

    3. rim width and offset. This affects how wide the rim is, and how far in and out of the hub the wheel projects. A +15 offset means that the face of the rim that mounts on the hub is 15mm towards the outside of the rim from the centre of the rim.

Often all these numbers are marked on rims, for example a rim marked 6j15CH15 is a 6" wide rim, 15" diameter with a offset of plus 15mm. The 6" or 150mm wide rim will have the centreline at 75mm from the inside edge, add the 15mm offset to get 90mm from the inside edge of the rim to the face. If you want to get 8" wide rims, and you stayed with +15 offset, the distance from the inside face would go up to 115mm (half  200mm = 100 + 15 = 115), ie the new rim would go further in to the suspension by 25mm, and often this is enough to foul on the suspension. If you wanted the same inboard distance, an 8" rim would need an offset of -10. It would then stick out by 50mm more than the 6"rim (and probably foul on your guards!).

Have a go at doing the numbers yourself, but if you are unsure it is best to get the numbers off the 206 GTi alloys and the tyre size (if you are wanting to use them) and then take your car down to a tyre store and ask if the mags will fit.
