Question:

Will 3 years in the army JROTC get me a higher rank in the air force or any other branch??

i know it does if i go to the army, i would become a corporal after bmt

but would it work in another branch?

  1. You can't be a rank Corporal from any junior military program. What Alex said though is correct.


  2. Ok, to answer your question

    For 3 years of JROTC

    Air Force - E-3

    USMC -    E-2

    Navy -      E-2/E-3 I believe dependent on your job

    Coast Guard - E-2

    Army - E-4* I believe the rank would be specialist though, not corporal.

    This is what I was offered when I came in 2 years ago. I ended up going Air Force. I am about to sew on E-4 now.

  3. I was AFJROTC and got E-3 going into the army. 'Course that was way back in the Khaki army. Your Instructor should have that info.

  4. Yes, it would work the same in every branch.
