  1. The Euro closed Friday at $1.3628 which would give you $136.28 a day.  With the exception of extravegance you should be ok.

Oooops!! I did the conversion wrong.  Your $500 would be worth $367.64 in Euros which would be 74 Euros a day.  I think you'll need more money.

  2. Well, thats about 681 dollars, it depends on what you're going to do with your money.

  3. For essentially 3 full days and two half days this is an adequate tho not generous amount for costs exclusive of your hotel.

Paris is, in fact, not an expensive city to an intelligent and knowledgeable traveler.

Of course, much depends on what you choose to do with your time and your dining choices.

Especially since breakfast is a very light meal in France, you may wish to have your big meal at noon. This will take advantage of the fact that most eating establishments have their best bargains at this time. All eating establishments are required by law to post a menu with accurate prices in the window. Before you go in anyplace take the time to check this to make sure it fits your budget.

If breakfast is not free in your hotel then it is usually better to eat at a cafe rather than pay the hotel charge (almost always too high). Have a coffee and a roll at a cafe and eat at the counter (which is cheaper).

Have a nice sit down meal at lunch, again at a cafe or bistrot. Avoid any place that is full of tourists or that advertises that thye have menus in English. Look for a chalkboard that will have a daily special. This is usually a good value.

For your evening meal a sandwich from one of the many, many take away places will be economical. A crepe for dessert from a street stand will round off your meal.

Night time entertainment can be expensive but remember that in Paris it is perfectly acceptable to go someplace, have only one drink, and stay there all evening. (That's one reason drinks are expensive...part of the cost is "rent" for the table).

  4. Yeah, but as with every city, stay away from the touristy things  eg dont go to restauants on the champs elysess, obvious stuff

  5. Sorry but not , France is well known as a expensive life , you would spend 500euros only for drink and eating , donut mentioned hotels

Bred cost 2,5 euro , water per litter 3  euro , price are horrible, bring some more mony

                              GOOD TRIP

  6. You can do this...you know ...but how much fun do you want...yeah 500 is good..Actually I was surprised how reasonable Paris was.. much cheaper than London for example

  7. For me it would be, but some people spend money faster than others. If you're planning on spending a lot of time shopping on the Champs-Elysées or the Galeries Lafayette, and eating in 4-star restaurants, my answer would be no. But if you're just going to visit some museums and monuments, and keep meal expenses to a minimum (i.e. sandwiches that you eat in the park or something), it shouldn't be an issue. It all depends on your personal habits and preferences, really.

  8. If talking about food, transportation and a bit of fun....that should be more than enough. I had that amount for 4 days in Paris and 3 in Rome.
