Will 900 watt max amp power two 10" 600 watt max subs (1200 watt max total)?

The amp is a Rockford Fosgate Punch 900 watt max

The subs are MTX Thunder 5500 600 watts max each

it will run the subs but only at half their potential. see the amp pushes 150 watt RMS for each subs, and the mtxs are 300 RMS each. it is not the max wattage that matters but the RMS wattage.
