  1. Absolutely will be the home run king but what's the point....he'll still choke in the playoffs!

  2. Of course.  He's on an insane pace towards breaking it.

  3. Yes ...  he has 9 years under contract after this season to hit about 225 home runs ...  very very doable for him and I hope he breaks the record, not because I'm such a huge A-Rod fan but because I have absolutely no respect for the current record holder

  4. Yes he will but than Pujols will chace it and might even brake it or thhey will be in a hunt because i think both players will be active when Pujols gets there.

  5. IF he plays long enough and IF he doesn't become injured a lot then I'd say he will easily...

  6. A-Rod is 33 years old and has averaged about 42 homeruns per season during his career.  Assuming he hits 15 more this year he will be sitting on 556 career homeruns.  That will put A-Rod 206 homeruns away from Bonds who hit 762 career homeruns.  As A-Rod gets older his production could take a slight hit but if he plays to just 40 years of age he would only have to average 29 homeruns per season to catch Bonds.  These are numbers that appear to be well within his ability if he stays healthy.  I believe A-Rod will average more than 29 homeruns per season during the next seven seasons and I also think he will play beyond the age of 40.  Therefore I would expect his career homerun total to be somewhere between 800 and 850 depending on his health and how many years beyond the age of 40 he is able to play and be productive.

  7. I hope not, because A-Rod is out for himself.

He doesnt care about winning, all he wants to do is get payed and thats it.  Not saying thats a bad thing but where is the cometitive fire to win.  He's a wussy.

  8. Probably.

  9. yes then Albert Pujols will break it then maybe Ryan Braun

  10. Yes.  He has 8 years plus to play, and at that rate he'll have at least 800 homers.

  11. Well seeing that he already has over 520 Hr and a got a 10 yr contract last yr also the fact that he is has hit at least 35 Hr per season it is a safe bet that he will shatter that record

Then Maybe Miguel Cabrera or Ryan Braun

    Slim chance Albert Pujols

  12. yes then prince fielder breaks it

  13. slim chance Pujols?  He's the youngest player to get to where he is now.

A-Rod will shatter the record barring major injury.  He's on a tear and will have 40 homer seasons for the next 4-5 years at least.

  14. I hope so! :)

  15. if he has as many years as griffey jr. i think he can

  16. yes i do think a-rod will break the record but he will not hold it for long with players like albert pujols and adam dunn on a rapid pace as well.
