Will ALL Sydney businesses be closed during APEC Day? And how wide an area does this apply to?

I'm wondering because the retail store I work in in Strathfield is planning to stay open and I'm confused about the whole thing.

I'm guessing that your boss is betting Strathfield gets lots of business.  I work in western Sydney but we do deliveries & pick ups everywhere.  We have advised our customers that we are treating it as a proper public holiday - no deliveries or pickups at all - and our office is closed.  Make sure they are paying you public holiday rates.

No some are still open i'ts prob not worth opening unless your the only one there as its considered a Public Holiday with rates of pay etc...

If you have to work you would have been told by now.  The public holiday refers to the city centre, parramatta and another suburb i cant remember.

the city centre will be dead - no trains in and out- stations closed.  bus interchange moved to hydepark.  No point going in anyway really
