i could see the lightning grabbing him. possibly the Rangers as a backup. he wont last a full season though.

he already cleared waivers, and Murray said he will be bought out immediately

With a change of scenery Emery might do much better. He wouldn't be the first NHL bad boy to turn it around. I have been late to work more than once so I won't be the first to cast a stone.

Once he is bought out, someone will pick him up. He wont have to ask for as much money because he will still be paid about half his salary from the remaining contract left on his Ottawa contract. I think someone will take a chance with a 750k contract or so.

who wouldn't sign him though. he's still a good goalie, and i'm glad he's getting out of ottawa cause he's right. if you don't even have the balls to confront one of your teammates about his stupid detrimental behaviour and you let that affect your team so much so that you made even more news than the leafs sucking...then you have problems. and i don't think i've ever agreed with ray emery in my entire life. ****.

I can't see any team picking him he was great goalie on his rookie season but after he was going to practice late and not giving his all it doesn't really make teams want to sign you.

I think a better question would be, "Will Emery sign with any team?" Obviously, he's not going to like the idea of a two-way contract. Also, he's too small to be a professional wrestler.

Ray is a skilled goalie who has some head issues. His agent has said he is a changed man. Hockey coaches are a thick skilled group of creations. They believe they can succeed where others have failed. Look for him to surface as maybe Kiprusoff's back up in Calgary.

And if he gets bought out, I doubt he'll get the money he's looking for here. Perhaps he'll change his name to Evgeni Malkin and sign in russia....
