  1. Princess Lauren, you are soo stupid it is absolutely insane. I myself am I Red Sox fan, but I won't sit here as you say that A-Rod can't hit a pitch. He is the best hitter in baseball and if you are just answering this question and pretending that you know anything about the subject it is obvious that you know nothing about A-Rod and you are just an ignorant fool.

No, A-Rod is not the best player in history unless he wins a World Series and hits well in the post season.

  2. hes not even the best player in the league (pujols)

EDIT: Jackson- Pujols hasnt even been in the league for 10 years

  3. no, Vladdy is better, even if he is having an off year, what other players of the era have had ten years in a row with .300+ average and 25 homers, ohhh yeah, none, not even Pujols

  4. The best regular season player.  I'm sure he'll take down a bunch of batting records.  However, best overall player-- well he needs to pull his head out of his butt and starting hitting in the playoffs and win a championship or 3 first.

  5. I'm a Yankee fan..and I say no. His clutch performance is horrible. He can't be the best player to ever play the game if he isn't even the best Yankee ever.

  6. lol, not even close

  7. LOL I actually laughed when I saw this question, good joke.

  8. Not THE best, but one of the best.

  9. This is definitely a joke right?

  10. i think in order to be counted as the best player ever, he'd have to be able to actually hit a pitch.  the only thing he's hit in the past 5 years is madonna.

  11. No. End of Story. It's just not going to be that way.

  12. no he will not be known as the best player ever

but he will be known as biggest choke job when it comes to playing playoff baseball.

gets the yanks to the playoffs, but cant get them through the playoffs

  13. Well, I'm a Yankees fan. But, I have to say that he won't go down as "THE BEST" player to play the game. He is good in the regular season but he needs to work on his post season performance. Also, he needs to get some rings... But I admit, he is awesome.

  14. I think so. I mean by the time his career is over i have him down for 875 career homers and about 3300 hits. Although if Ken Griffey Jr. hadn't battled so many injuries he wouldve been the best player to ever play.

  15. 800 Hr's are possible but until he shows how good he does in the playoffs, he's one of the best, not the best.

  16. No, but Albert Pujols might...

  17. he is a pretty good player even saying that i am a yankees fan. but he wont go down as the best player to play baseball

  18. i think so, he's probably the greatest combination of hitting for power, hitting for average, speed, and defensive ability in one player

  19. No A-Rod will not even be in the top 100   hes good but not nearly that good

  20. h**l no.

  21. If I had to rate him now, even with the lofty projections so often given him, I would put him in the top twenty.  Maybe top ten.  Do you really think that he was better than Ruth.  Or Gehrig.  Or Williams......

One thing to consider with his career home run record.  look at the margin between him and second place, assuming for a moment that he passes Bonds, and that is a big if.  I doubt the margin would be more than ten percent. (That would translate to about 850 HR's)  Ruth had about a 75% advantage over the next one when he retired.  Gehrig had 405 at the end of the 1935 season.

  22. regular season maybe - post season is where legacy's come from

    So no -

  23. one of the best hitters yes the best hitter ever in mlb no

  24. if albert pujols keeps up his numbers, considering he hasnt even hit his prime yet, he may get that title.  But a-rod, probably not.

  25. Not A Chance.

  26. lolololol

    this is hillarious.

    a-rod is a great player.

    but not the best.

he can smash the home run record, break other records, have over 300 batting average, but he sucks balls in the playoffs.

    i'm yankee fan.

but babe ruth was way better.

  27. no....A-Rod chokes in the playoffs....

The best baseball players don't choke in October...

  28. ok first off pujols has reeched his prime he is already going down if a when arod retires yes he will be but theres $a$lways someone will take over before there was babe ruth the willy mays then hank aaron then bonds with some help then it will be arod but not for long

  29. Best player is Babe Ruth the man hit over 700 homeruns batted over.330 and an carrer era under 2.00. When you hit the game winning homerun get wasted later that nigh wake up and do it again ur a legend.
