Will Absolute and Ultimate Bet ever regain player trust?

Question

I followed these scandals from the start - and deeply suspected UB before the story broke. So far KGC and the Takwiro have not done anything that would regain my trust; including the most recent PR. Is there anything, but anything they could do to regain yours if you've lost trust?

If there were no PokerStars, Full Tilt, Doyle's Room, I'd have no problem playing at either site.  The thing about these scandals is, it involved cheating employees, not a scheme by the company to pad the profit margin.  There are many other white collar crimes committed by employees in many other major industries in big name companies, usually without too much negative fanfare.  

I agree that the resolution could have been more public.  It is easy to see why a player might get the impression that UB or AP doesn't care, or is supporting their thieving employees.  But I think it is also important to differentiate between cheating by unscrupulous employees and a well thought out rigging scheme by company officials.  There are definitely hundreds of other sites that I would worry about before I worry about playing at UB or AP.  But everyone is entitled to their own opinion!  And this is just mine.

The incidents themselves really have no affect on what's going on as you sit down to one of their tables and play.  These are two very highly respected and long term members of the poker community and if anything they will go the extra mile to ensure that this is avoided in the future.  It's tough to prevent inside jobs like this which occur in many different industries including banks and all the companies can do is do their best to prevent it but there's no absolute way if you pardon the pun to make this completely foolproof.  As Jacques said though the fact that it's not the companies that are the direct cause of this does make a big difference.  I contunue to promote Absolute Poker and used to promote UB until the idiots that run their affiliate program deleted some of my players and couldn't or wouldn't fix it but that's another story :)  I 'd have absolutely no problem playing at Absolute.

Nope!

They will never regain my trust for many reasons. I will play there now in some various forum freerolls, but they will never see a deposit from me, and I will withdraw anything and everything I may win.
