Will Air Force transport our pet?

Hi, we're getting stationed from one base to anther (Arizona to Alaska). I know the Air Force will pay for my family to fly, but does anyone know what they do about pets? Do we fly our dog seperately, on a commercial airline? Or will she be able to fly with us? Thanks for your help.

No the Air Force will not pay to ship your pet. That expense is on you.

I can't stay about AF but I know the Marines didn't pay for my friends to transport their dog. The dog can fly on the plane, depending on the airline and the size of the dog. You have to check into that with them.
