Question:

Will Aloe Gel make my sunburn go away faster?

I am a fair skinned freckled redhead.. I have suffered from many many burns of all degrees.

I finally got an SPF 80 sunscreen and used it at the beach today.

It worked great and I don't have a burn like I normally do, just mildly in certain places like my neck and chest.

Problem is, I didn't think to put any on the backs of my legs. So as you can imagine, from around my bikini bottom lines and all the way down to my ankles is bright red/almost purple. And radiating heat !

I got home and had a cool shower and then used Aloe Gel right away. I just want to know if it will help it disappear quicker, and if there's anything else that helps it to go away.

  10. Aloe will give you relief and it is good even in a drinkable form like juice.

Don't pay high prices like 12 to 15 per quart when you can buy it by the gallon at Walmart pharmacy.

Add it to orange juice or even diet coke it relieves lots of things that people take for allergies.

Or something that makes you feel like you shouldn't have had that extra bowl of spicy soap.

Don't hesitate to use it as a swab on it can't hurt.

I've never used it on any open cut or burn that has drawn blood..

  11. No, unfortunately, Aloe Vera Gel does not make the burn go away faster, it only soothes the burn.

  12. aloe cools the skin, moistens the skin, and it will not hurt very much only if u wear a tight shirt that rubs of in bed

  13. Unfortunately, I am fair skinned and burn very easily as well. Though aloe will help to relieve some pain, and cool it down, In my experience it will not make it go away sooner. Soak your legs in cool water to help take the heat out. And keep applying aloe to moisturize so that you wont peel.
