Standing in bread lines with no shelter is considered a Great Depression. Not complaining about gas prices. But with war on the lume, I'm not really certain if one can be avoided globally.

  2. The United States of America will not only go into a Great Depression after the coming nuclear World War III.  Please read Revelation chapter 18 of the Holy Bible.

The war may happen this year, maybe next year, maybe in 2012, but it will be very soon.  And USA will suffer a Depression maybe greater than that experienced in late 1920s.  The falling economy of the US and high price of oil may trigger this war.

After the calamitous war as how Nostradamus called it, then we will have a new age, a spiritual awakening, an enlightenment, a realization that we are all brothers and sisters, and peace will reign for a long time.  The population would have been reduced by a third and will continue to decline.  There will be much arable land that will be available.  People will be living in planned cities and communities.

Please email me if you are interested to know the details of the coming World War III.

  3. It is possible.

Contrary to at least one answer, we are not in a great depression now. With the sales of designer jeans going up in the first quarter of this year, there is no way we could be in a depression. With the high sales of expensive electronics, there is no way we could be in a depression. If we go into a depression, my generation will be devastated, because we are unable to imagine going without.

We could go into one. We are in a recession, and it could easily get better or worse.

A war will not decide the issue. The country's deficit will not send us into a depression.

What would help would be if the Federal Reserve would admit we are in a recession, and explain what that means to the country. Then they should hike interest rates, and explain why. They should explain to the public how the economy goes through cycles, rather than pretend there is no problem and continue lowering rates.

The Fed's actions now are what will contribute to a great depression. The way they are handling the economy is like a parent taking a band-aid off a child real slow so it doesn't hurt as bad, but it hurts ten times longer. Most people would opt to yank the band-aid off their child's knee fast. Yeah it hurts, but not long, and the pain is quickly forgotten.

  4. Despite what some market analysts may say... the world will never see a depression like the one suffered in the early part of the last century.. it isn't possible.. there are many reasons for this but just to name a couple...in the 1920s there just simply wasn't enough money to back up the money lost on futures when the stock market bubble burst , causing stocks to bottom out...and banks to fail when company's streamlined and dislocated workers began pulling their life savings out by the millions.. its more plausible that as important as Americas economy is to world economic health and stability, that Americas economy ... should it falter to the point of disrupting the flow of international goods, that the European Economic Union would step in and swallow us up...its straight out of the corporate raiders playbook... and it more than likely would be viewed as no more severe then a corporate takeover.. scary? YES! Avoidable? Highly unlikely...

  5. I have a small shack in the forrest with a power generator. i also have a tv and a dreamcast and lots of food. i will play dreamcast until things get better.

  6. It won't take nearly that long if Obama is elected and the Dems have 60 seats in the Senate and control the House. The last President to completely ignore all economists and raise taxes in a precarious economy was Hoover. How did that turn out?

  7. It's possible.  If we don't eliminate the Federal Reserve and assassinate the Corporate Oligarchy pretty soon we're screwed.

  8. Maybe before.

I don't think 2012 is all they say it is.  I think it's like Y2K.  But I do believe there's a good chance we can go into another Great Depression.  And it's intentional.  They (Federal Reserve, Government, CFR)  want to push our country into another Depression to fulfill their plans for globalism.  Yes, I said it.  And all signs point to that I'm right!

  9. yes i believe it will!

due to this oil problem this country is facing. Also if we go to war with Iran that will almost guarantee a depression.

  10. It is close as of today.

  11. Better question when will America Get out of This Greater Depression we are in now? What more do you want people dont have jobs and losing there homes. Thats not good enough to be considered a great depression?

  12. its extremely possible now that America wants war with Iran

  13. Strange isn't it that it's 2012? The Mayan's claimed the world's gonna end on Dec 21 (i think that day) 2012.

Not that it might, it's just a strange coincidence is all I have to say.

  14. I really hope not!

  15. I think so because gas prices are so high and our country being at war isn't helping and taxes are going up and prices on food and other items are going up to and i kinda think the president is at fault.
