Will Americans really vote for a Mormon?

If some in the Republican party have consistently tried to paint Obama as a Muslim and ignorant Americans believed it and became outraged...How will they react to a VP candidate that really 'is' a Mormon?

Mormons ar good upright religious people who try to live good and productive lives.  They believe in strong families, and the right of all people to choose to worship the way they feel is correct.  They believe in upholding and living by all of the laws of the land, and in doing good to all mankind.  

They spend countless hours in service in their church activities and in the community.

What is it that people fear about Mitt Romney?  He is a descent upright man who has done a fantastic job as Governor and with the Winter Olympics.  He is a great business man also.  

I hear so many negative things about him but what proof do others have that he would not do an excellent job?  Shouldn't we as Christians and as all good people should judge another by their actions, not by fear?  

Of course, many will think that it is OK to be president of the United States and fornicate as Bill Clinton did, but they condemn an honest good man for what he believes in and for trying to live a good life.  Isn't this a little backwards?  

As I see it, there is nothing about Romney to dislike.  His religion is a plus and will help him to be a leader that we can trust in.  After all,  he has already proved that he can handle positions of leadership and do it well.

Its the belief inm Polygamy in the Celestial Kingdom (highest level of mormon heaven), GODhood, and the temple expierance, is MORE than enough to make me turn cheek.

There are loads of Mormons in the house, senate, military, cabinets, and governors.  

Are you suggesting that we kick all of these Mormons out of office.

When there's a liberal Mormon (Harry Reid) in an elevated position, no one cares.  When it's a more conservative Mormon, everyone does.

Lastly, I don't know why you're drawing parallels between Mormons and Muslims.  There are hardly two more different groups.  Besides the fact that they both start with M, why are you even comparing them?

Were there a set of Mormon Missionaries that flew some planes into some buildings that I didn't hear about?

I really don't care what a candidate's faith is.  What matters to me are the issues.  As long I can agree with what their stance is, I'll vote for 'em, be they LDS, Catholic, Muslim or Jewish.

At this point, I don't think Romney's religion is an issue while running as VP as it was when he was running for President.
