I know Bynum is and was a good player before his injuries. The guy is 21, and was personally trained by Kareem, and I hear he's picked up a sick sky-hook. So i hope for the sake of LA that he does live up to the hype. Do you guys think he will??? And if he does, how far do you think he wil take us??

  1. I'm not a Lakers fan but considering how well he's played before he got injured he'll do very well. He's 21 also, so he's just gonna get better and better each season.

  2. Not this year. He will be fighting for play time with too many players and he was out for a long time.

  3. Yal' said Greg Oden wouldn't live up to the hype, then why would Bynum can?

  4. The hype!?

The guy is coming off a serious injury and hasn't proved anything to me yet.  Hasn't played a full season yet.

Compare his stats to Andrew Bogut stats and Bogut is putting up better stats.  This last year when Bynum went down with an injury they had the same stats.

He is so overhyped because he plays for LA.  He is in one of the media capitals and so the dude can't f**t without the media paying attention.  Put him in Milwaukee, Utah, Toronto or some other small market and he is a nobody.

So will he ever live up to the hype?  Nope.

    Can you say overrated?

  5. yeah he'll be better and stronger than last season before he got hurt.

  6. Lakers haters will say he wont.

He will be a great player for a long time!!

  7. NO In Fact Bynum will get Hurt again.

  8. It's possible, but I don't think so.  I think he'll be a good center, but not an all star.  Most Laker fans are ready to crown him the next great center, and are already making hotel reservations in Boston for next year's finals.

He is still a kid.  He has played well for exactly 1/2 of a season.  He is coming back from a pretty serious knee injury.  Most of the highlights I've seen of him are of dunks and put backs.  Haven't really seen too many great post moves, or very impressive footwork.

As a Warrior fan, I've seen Dampier play well for 1/2 a season with equally impressive play and monster dunks.  And we all know what became of his potential.  He might be a great player, but it is FAR from a given.

  9. I think it will take a couple of months but he will play to his expectations. Its a team effort and i think the lakers will take us to the trophy.

  10. no bynum sucks

  11. He'll take you all the way to Timbuktu.

  12. i'm not too worried about andrew because i can already see him being a top center in this league..but the only concern is how aggressive will he be post-injury...

  13. It'll probably take him a while to convert to a offical NBA game since he's been out for a long time, but yeah he should be good. He's a big guy whose young and well gifted. I don't like the Lakers, but they'll be a very good team with their lineup. Probably making it to 1st seed in the Western Confrence.
