Question:

Will Andruw Jones get his groove back?

It's June and so far he has 2 home runs and 7 RBI's and a batting average of .170 (or something like that). I knew he wouldn't put up big numbers since he was going to play half his games in a pitcher's park, but this is bad.

  1. well i belive hes considering or is going to have season ending surgery so i dont think hes going to get his groove back anytime soon

  2. Just responding to Astro Man.... Andruw did NOTHING during his contract year.  Hit for power... pffft... he barely hit.  I think he was batting .150 during the month of May or June with the Braves.  It didn't get much better than that.  As a Braves fan, i was glad when they let him go.  He's lost his mojo.  I don't think he'll ever get it back.

  3. I wish coming from dodgers fan.. but I doubt it, I really hated this high salary sign for the dodgers.

  4. Andruw Jones will only get his groove back if he finds his batting stance back (2005) and if there was a hitting coach that can help him. He needs a change of scenery because L.A isn't good for him their boooing him at every at bat when he was healthy. I think the contract year with the Braves hrt him because he wanted to show other teams he can hit home runs and drive a lot of runs instead of being the Andrum of old.

the problem with Andruw is that he wants to pull everything and hit over the seats. That is just not gonna happen in a consistent fashion. He essentially doesn't take what the pitcher gives him (pitcher going away he hitting away) that's why you see a lot of lazy pop ups because he pulls things away from him.
