Will Argentina join the Tri-Nations or Six Nations?

If Australia get there way they will have Argentina in it instead of South Africa by the sound of the news this week!

  1. It is as broad as it's long for Argentina!

    About 12 hours to Europe for them, about the same to New Zealand and South Africa, then about 15 hours to Australia.

    As they are a Southern Hemisphere side I am sure they would want to be part of the Tri-Nations and it would certainly make them an even stronger contender than they already are.

    They need to be in an international competition with the "best" teams in the world on an annual basis definitely.


  2. Most of the Argentinian internationals play in France and England and they have looked at the possiblity of playing their games in Spain or even Belgium. I think there's more chance of them playing in the Six Nations as the players won't be released from the big European clubs to go back to Argentina for the tri-nations but a seven nations tournament would take a lot out of international players so they may have to look at including Romania and possibly Spain to create a two division European tournament with promotion and relegation.
