I've emailed customs and quarantine to ask them, but goodness knows when they will get back to me.

Does anyone have any idea if this small import would be legal or not please ???

  1. You can't bring in sand/soil (if you've been near farms lately they will even check the bottom of your shoes). They're very serious about keeping foreign bugs/diseases out.

  2. It  should be   legal..

but they might ask to inspect it first!!

I would  chance it with  a small amount  in  a regular small  package.

lol...  you got me very intrigued as to  what you want it for...

  3. absolutely not!   soil sand plant material etc is totally banned from bringing in to australia

  4. don't think its a good idea to bring into any overseas country

any customs will probably take it

customs are pretty strict,, especially Australian Customs these days

but I would agree with the first answer , they will take it and Quarantine the sand

  5. i think only if your samples have been quarantined by the australian customs for about a month - i think. because they quarantine almost anything.
