  1. If you suppose that any Democrat would eliminate any government program whatever, you have not been paying attention.

  2. He actually is against affirmative action.  He wants a more class based system so whites are included as well.

  3. Probably not.

But McCain seems all about it now since he chose a woman over male candidates that were much more qualified to be VP.

  4. Domestically speaking, Obama or McCain can only do what the Congress will support.    A President's power domestically is far less under his control than his/her power internationally.

    I repeat, a President's...

    - domestic policy is limited

    - foreign policy is nearly unlimited

Therefore, we should elect the candidate who is most likely to use his intelligence rather than his gut.

    Now, let me see...

John McCain - Graduated near the bottom of his class at the Naval Academy (894 out of 899)

Barack Obama - Graduated with Honors from Harvard

I'm putting my money on Obama to use his brain rather than adopt the "Bomb bomb Iran" philosophy of his underperforming opponent.

  5. In his speech he stated that he wants affirmative action to be based on socioeconomics, not race...

  6. He said that he wants to restructure it so that is based off of economic disadvantage and not race.  so all the rest of you poor S.O.B.'s should benifit from it..

  7. We can only hope.
