  1. I think the sarger with Didak and Shaw will mean he mite play 4 collingwood

  2. Don't care as long as he dos'nt go to Geelong..... the guy may be a great footballer but he deserves to get the flick from AFL all together

  3. north melbourne, collingwood, st.kilda, brisbane, fremantle or calton,

prefferably fremantle :D... as long as he has quit drugs completely!

  4. I don't think he'll play next season, however, if he does i think it will be for a 12thplace - 6th place side.

If the clubs at the bottom of the ladder are smart, they'll use all the early picks on young players cause in 2 years time no one gets early picks.

Maybe Port are a chance, but if he's back in WA maybe freo will get him, they have recycled a lot of older players.

  5. WCE!!!!!!!

    "Reinstate Ben Cousins to WCE"

    luv ya benny

  6. Nope, he will stay in the WAFL this year, and play for the VFL next year.

AS IF Collingwood would pick up Ben Cousins next year - considering the problems they are already having with Shaw and Didak!!  People need to stop assuming the Pies want him just coz he played under Malthouse.

  7. It seems unlikely that he will play at AFL level again as he hasn't said he definitely wants to. However if he does it seems he will play in Melbourne thus only the Victorian clubs are eligible:

Geelong: Even if they did want him for some reason he wouldn't fit under the salary cap. They already have too many good players.

Hawthorn: Would be handy as they are nearly ready to win a flag but lack a bit of pace so Cousins would help there but once again, the salary cap would probably be the major issue.

Bulldogs: Possible, reportedly have a bit of room under the cap but at the same time aren't the richest club going round and may not want to use all their salary cap space at this point in time.

North Melbourne: Could wo with Cousins class but probably too poor.

St. Kilda: Apparently have a pretty full salary cap but who all their money is going to I can't imagine. Again a team that really lacks pace and could do with Cousins but won't get him.

Collingwood: A possibility, seems willing to offload a few players to make cap space and could do with a gun midfielder like Cousins who can run and move the ball quickly.

Richmond: Too poor and too far from a flag.

Carlton: Apparently has the cap space but Chris Judd and Ben Cousins will never play together again...ever.

The other two clubs in Essendon and Melbourne are both probably too far from a flag to entice Cousins. If Ben comes back he will want to play for a contender.

  8. I love this!! We have gone from Ben Cousins - Devil reincarnate to Ben Cousins - Please come and play for our team.

i hope that Cuz that comes back and plays for anyone except maybe the Dockers (Oh, And I am not sure that Collingwood has the right Moral compass for someone with an addictive personality like Ben). I saw him on TV last night training with local WAFL club Perth and he looks the goods to go physically.

  9. I see him playing next season I think...although I'm not really fussed where he goes, I WOULD be rather miffed if he ended-up at my club - I mean we (Crows) picked up Carey after his indiscretions...despite him being a well-regarded sportsman... I think such players going on anywhere is more of a disruption than a help...Whereas at that time, Carey was just a cheating jerk, Cousins has a serous addiction...and I really do believe that simply allowing him back so soon (even at next season) may prove to be a mistake...they gotta really make sure he's clean and committed...I mean, look at what happened with Carey! His ego trip and bad behaviour was kinda passed-over "because he's such a great name in the game"...and look what he ended-up as! Problems have to be truly dealt with, not swept under the Carpet....such players are throwing AFL into disrepute.

  10. Most likely he will play in the WAFL next year

  11. Collingwood would pick him.

He would fit in very well with the likes of Shaw, Didak & crew & the rest of drunks & druggies at the club.

  12. I don't think he'll play, but if he does, the favourites are Collingwood and Bulldogs.

  13. I hope Ben Cousins plays next year.

I also hope that Essendon pick him up.

    He is a champion player.

Did the crime and has done the time.

Brownlow medalist,s dont lose ability and he has a heap of that.

Would give 2 or 3 years great footy to anybody willing to give him one last chance

  14. Its looking more and more like Geelong he has just gone back to his dads old club Perth in WA even though he played for East Fremantle so I think he will end up there maybe not so much as a star player but as one who has reach the highest pinnacle and then let himself down.

Geelong are going to be the glamour team for the next few years and their players will need not to let it go to their heads and I think Ben could be a great asset to keeping their feet planted on the ground and is living proof you are not infalible no matter how many premeirships or brownlows you have in the cupboard.

  15. I think he will but don'tt know who for

  16. **I can see him playing next season.  Providing he doesn't go to Geelong I don't really care too much who he does play with, but he'd be looking at teams like Collingwood, Melbourne or even North Melbourne.**

  17. He said hes going to

and Melbourne & Collingwood are favourites to get him

  18. No. Nobody can trust him for one. Anyone who has dealt with someone who has got an addiction knows that more time is needed to prove that he is commited to staying clean and on the right track. Given some of the incidents that have brought clubs into disrepute recently, I dont believe that anyone wants to take a chance with Cousins right now, and by the time hes mentally and emotionally fit enough, it might be too late in his career. He has only just resumed with training in the WAFL so it will take time to return to his former glory, if ever.
