  1. Blu-ray players should be backwards compatible which means they will play DVD and VCDs also...

check out this info i found about blu-ray technology it kinda explains it better than i can :)

  2. ya they do

star for you... can you awnser my quextion?

  3. Blu Ray players are full-fledged DVD players (it's actually a different laser within the Player) so the answer is that so long as the DVD can play in a traditional DVD Player, it should be compatible in a BD player.

Blu Ray/VHS combo?  That would be sort of like an iPod with a Record Player attached.... don't expect to see that

  4. Yes only you wuill not gt the full picutre quality you wantand expect

  5. yes a blu-ray player will play your standard region 1 dvds, and it will even upscale the resolution of the regular dvds if you an hdmi cable for your hook-up. you will probably never see a blu-ray/vhs combo player. there is always a possibility but i would be very surprised  .
