He was as good as AJ Hawk in college, and then he broke his foot. I don't think he is the same player after the injury, much like Keith Byars. When Kijana Carter was picked number 1, no one was saying he shouldn't have been, then he blows his knee, and is never the same. Tim Couch led an expansion team to the playoffs, then tears his shoulder, and is never the same. With modern medicine, a lot of guys can come back from injury, but some never do. I have a bad feeling Carpenter is going to be one of the latter.

I completely agree with you...I was hoping we would have been included in "THE GREAT DOLPHIN MIGRATION of 08" but obviously Parcells is kicking himself in the rear for taking him in the 1st and wanted nothing to do with him in Miami! I do hope he can learn from Thomas...i think he kind of has...i watched the second half and he seemed to be close to every tackle...(like i said he was JUST close)...BUT h**l that's an improvement for him!
