Will Brian Clay (decathlon gold) get on the Wheaties box?

Question

I heard an interview with him after he won the gold in the decathlon and he said he hoped his win would get his picture on the front of the Wheaties box.

that guy worked his butt off to win that medal. It was a great accomplishment. Has anyone heard whether the company that makes Wheaties has told him he made the front of the box?

Yes.  The decathlon is not an easy event by any means and any winner of that event deserves to be on that box.  Many of Clay's scores were right up there with many of the people who competed for the individual titles too, such as the javelin and the long jump.  

Sure he ran a 10.4 ish 100 meter race and a 5 minute 1500 meter race, the latter which was his weakest event since most decathletes run it in 4 and a half, some better, but considering that you had to run that 1500 meters after four other events......that's rough!

I hope he gets it- he has a job, a family and STILL he was able to get the gold medal in the decathlon. Amazing!

Bryan doesn't have a job other than to train full time.  Not that it diminishes his victory at all.  But he has been blessed to not have to juggle a job, training and a family.  

I hope he does get the Wheaties box.  He deserves it.

I heard that they are also considering Shawn Johnson for it, but I'm not sure..I like Brian Clay, but I would prefer Shawn over him...
