  2. Possibly, Considering the energy crises the world is about to face, anybody could claim anything as long as he got the power to do it.

  3. Of course!!!

    There are two main reason for GB to claim and occupy the Malvinas!

    a- Food (i.e. krill - small shrimps-like)

    b- Oil and Minerals on the Antarctica and surrounding waters

    The Antarctica Treaty, as one of the conditions for land claims and rights is to have a geographical exposure to Antarctica (same reason Chile extends their "territories" into Argentinean Sea!)

    But NOT to worry, the way things are to-day, once the needs arise (food+oil+minerals) it will be "open-season" with the most powerful to win!

  4. Yes. They´re already taking most of the fish in the area, so why not the oil as well?
