Bet they'll soon bring the prices down - what a pity the supermarkets don't have a share in it like they have with fuel, the price war last week sorted petrol and diesel out!

  1. the price war last week sorted petrol and diesel out...........err have you seen the price of diesel. It was hardly a war more like a damp f**t. and whats with the Jumpers comment, that will sort out British Gas, all I can say is that you must be related to Dave S as he comes out with as much felch as you

  2. Hiya Helen :P

Yes I'm back, or at least I am trying to be, if allowed.....

  3. "the price war last week sorted petrol and diesel out"

Yes, partly that, and partly the fact that the price of crude oil fell from around £145 a barrel back down to about $130.

The price of Gas supplies in the country aren't the same as oil, resources of gas close to home are dwindling and obtaining supply from further away has a different market as its not only the UK vying for its supply.

You know all this is in the news, all you have to do is read rather than make ill informed comments.

  4. the price war didn't do anything to petrol, they were going to come down anyway because oil was coming down, gas prices are continually going up and all companies will be putting their prices up. No utility company wants a war over prices when they can just up their prices as well and not lose customers because there isn't anybody else staying cheaper.

  5. Good question.

I'm already beginning to think about how to keep warm when the colder weather comes.

Being a pensioner of nearly eighty, I have no way of trying to increase my income to help cover these obscene rises.

Why were the public utilities ever put into shareholder's hands?  Bring back nationalisation!

If you think up any more good ideas for hurting British Gas, let's be knowing.

    Get them on 'answers'.

  6. They wont be getting much out of me - my heating (when I need it) is a tiny dimplex and thats it.

I notice that Gas companies seem to send people to knock on doors and ask residents to change to them just before they make huge price rises.  Clever but not clever enough lol
