Will Brock Lesnar be the face of WWE once again?
Former UFC heavyweight champion and former WWE World Heavyweight champion, is back in action in WWE against John Cena.
Lesnar made his return three weeks before, came into the ring to face John Cena and smashed Cena to the matt by delivered a devastating F5 on him. In his next appearance on Raw a week later, Lesnar claimed that he has come back to the WWE to bring ‘legitimacy’
to the sport again. He also claimed that he is now the ‘face’ of WWE, since he has already proven he can sideline who enjoys the status right now.
Nevertheless, Lesnar had proved his capabilities 8 years back when he became the youngest champion in WWE history by defeating the People’s Champion The Rock single-handedly. Lesnar then moved to the UFC and made it big there as well. Even President of UFC
Dana White back in the day thought that Lesnar would be crushed by UFC’s mightiest, but Lesnar made his way to the top. He is one man who took UFC to the heights it enjoys. And now, he is back in business in WWE – not for the fans but for a better pay check
– at least that is how he puts it.
In his lead up interview, Lesnar revealed, “I’m not a superstar, I’m an a*s kicker. I am Brock Lesnar, that’s it. I left the WWE, everybody thought, here’s a guy, there’s no way in h**l he’s gonna make it in the UFC, but I climbed that mountain and became
UFC Heavyweight Champion of the world and I proved everybody wrong. Why did I come back to the WWE? This isn’t a feel-good moment. This isn’t ‘Oh I miss coming through the curtain, I miss all the fans.’ At the end of the day, I don’t care about anybody but
Brock Lesnar. For me this is strictly business.”
In another backstage interview, Lesnar said that John Cena got into the main spot just because he (Lesnar) left or else Cena would have been the guy holding his bags. He even said that there is nothing about him that is fake and that is all about causing
pain to others.
On busting Cena’s mouth, Lesnar said that he saw fear in Cena’s eyes, which made him confident that Cena is just another guy who has never faced a strong opponent.
For now, Lesnar is scheduled to face John Cena at Extreme Rules in an Extreme Rules match. On last Raw’s Supershow, John Cena admitted that he is intimidated by Lesnar’s existence but he will still give his best and win. However, what is more important here
is to see whether Lesnar will be able to defeat Cena, and if he does then will he become the face of WWE once again?
As per the contract, if Lesnar wins, WWE Raw will be renamed to ‘Monday Night Raw featuring Brock Lesnar’. The condition was added on Lesnar’s demand who thinks he is the only legitimate wrestler in the organization. As of now, John Cena is in a critical
position right now and he desperately needs to gain his top position back. If he lets Lesnar win, then definitely Lesnar will be the face of WWE once again.
Therefore, it is important for Cena to dominate Lesnar at Extreme Rules in order to get his status and public standing back.
