I'm thinking about using CLR cleaner to clean my pans that are rusted. Do you think they will harm the food that I cook on the pan after I use CLR? I need to be cautious because food with chemicals are not good. Thanks to all who answer, 10 points to the best answer.

  1. use it and wash the pans with dish soap afterword, no harm done if you wash it and rinse it out properly.

  2. I had to giggle at the way you worded your question.  It sounds a little like you were planning to cook WITH CLR!  You know kinda one of those joke questions.....Anyway, the answers before mine are right.  Just wash well with dish liquid or run them through the dishwasher and you will be good to go.
