Will Casey Mears leave Hendrick.?

Question

He said he was safe but I dont think so I heard rumors of him leaving and being repalced by Martin Truex Jr. Does anyone know If he is leaving and who would take Caseys spot?

I Think that he is going to leave and if Rick Hendrick can't make him a champion then Let Richard Childress Try or have Casey Mears go over to DEI and try to turn it around.

But I really think that Martin Truex Jr is going to get out of the contract negotiation that they came up with at DEI once he finds out that Casey is Vacating the #5 and Martin Truex Jr will go over there to Reunite as a Teammate to his Buddy Dale Jr and we will definitly see a different Martin Truex Jr if this Happens which I think it Will!!!!!!

I think he is gonna stay.  Don't listen to rumors, especially in nascar.  Only if you hear it from his own mouth.  Besides, Mr. Hendricks already said he is happy with Casey.

Nah,  for once he finally gets settled.  Over past few years hes switched teams like crazy and crew cheifs.  Finally hes settled in unless Rick dose some swithing again.. So Id say hes gonna stay for a while.

Maybe not as dramatic as Busch or Vickers but it's coming. He's not producing and there are some top notch drivers getting restless where they are at. I believe it will happen.

casey mears will continue to be with Hendrick for a while.He has a great relationship with the entire organization.Besides,if Rick Hendrick was going to boot him,don't you think he would have done it last year instead of booting Kyle Busch for Junior?? As far as Martin Truex,Jr. coming to Hendrick Motorsports,I don't see that happening because:

1) Truex really doesn't fit the Hendrick mold

2)Truex has a good relationship with Teresa Earnhardt/D.E.I.

3)where else could he go and be the number 1 driver?

NO WAY. Casey has too much talent and he is just having a hard time living up to his high expectations. He just needs a little time to get settled into his new ride. Plus, Daytona is coming up so he'll be up front to impress Rick. He is coming off his first top-5 of the year (should be 2nd, but we can blame Tony for that XD), so I think he'll use that momentum to make a run at the Chase.

I would hope he isn't going anywhere, but he has been in the rumor mill for a while. I would like to see him stay, theres no doubt the man can drive. He hasn't had much luck this season, he's run well at times, and ends up getting caught in bad situations not of his making.

ESPN.com is saying that he is going and Mark Martin will share seat time with Jr.'s Nationwide driver BK. I personally hope they do put Truex in the car, it would be my dream team.

Yes, he will, at least until the 2009 season is up.

I'm gonna keep on repeating myself: Casey Mears needs a new Crew Chief. Kyle Busch was making Alan Gustafson look good, I don't need much more proof than look at what Kyle is doing now, and look how bad Casey is doing, even though last year he was running RIGHT up there with Shrub, Jeff, and Jimmie.
